What a beautiful day in November for Jonny & Rosie’s London wedding! It was so nice to do a city wedding – Suffolk has so much countryside, and I love that, but sometimes a change in surroundings is what you need to get your creativity flowing.

You may recognise a few people from this wedding – Rosie was one of Claire and Steve’s bridesmaids back in September 2015 – oh and my sister, Kayleigh, was a bridesmaid again, as Kayleigh and Rosie have been best friends for donkey’s years (literally)! My sister did a fabulous ‘best friend’ speech (I’m not even being biased – it was great – a best friend speech should now be compulsory for every wedding)

Rosie started getting ready at Malmaison hotel, near Barbican tube station in Central London. What a beautiful hotel! So funky and I loved the decor – the bridesmaid PJs matched perfectly 🙂

Off to Islington Town Hall we went for the ceremony, where Rosie and Jonny got married in the Council Chamber (what a grand room with beautiful light, wow!)

We photographed the confetti shot going down the stairs, and then the great big ‘all guests’ shot straight after. As all the guests embarked onto the amazing double decker London buses, we photographed a couple shot outside the town hall – you may notice the confetti in the air – the wind picked up the confetti and made a mini hurricane, perfect timing!

Next stop we went to St Bart’s Brewery which is almost opposite Smithfield’s Market, a beautiful little venue with a lovely mezzanine – great for getting shots up high.

I absolutely loved the two stacks of iced doughnuts, and Rosie & Jonny’s twist on a guestbook – they had Fujifilm Instax instant cameras, which they got their guests to take pictures of the day/of themselves and stick them in the guestbook.

As usual, this group of friends are party animals and I was able to get so many great dancing shots. I absolutely love that there was a mini dance off in the evening!

It was a pleasure to photograph this lovely couple’s wedding, especially as I have known Rosie and her family for so many years through my sister. Thank you for choosing me, Rosie & Jonny!
